Everyone looks forward to the week or two each year where they can go on vacation to that special peaceful spot to enjoy a lifestyle that meets your needs without the hassles. Imagine if you could go home to that resort life everyday. That very idea is the thought that gave birth to the Villages at Redbridge community. Over 500 acres of beautiful rolling fields, streams and woodlands are being transformed to realize that dream.
The designer's challenge is to blend the varied types of homes and living environments, the 18 hole championship golf course, and the rest of the amenities into the land in such a way as to keep or enhance the natural beauty that we started with. Without question, they have exceeded expectations to create an environment unparalleled anywhere in the world.
Over 40% of the land has been preserved as open space in the form or golf course, natural forest and stream, formally landscaped commons, and other recreational uses. The resulting community is that of a series of small enclaves that will surely be able to meet the living style of nearly everyone. Each village is buffered by green space to avoid the massive "sea of houses" that so typically dominates other developments of comparable size. These villages are connected by pleasing parkways that cross the beautiful streams on graceful arch bridges with varied vistas of streams, golf course, woodland and gardens.
As your guests and visitors enter from highway 24/27, they will know quality and graciousness is ahead as they are welcomed by the wide planted medians with views of the championship golf course on their left. Just before the road bends to the right they will catch a glimpse of the signature red covered bridge across the entry pond. As they come up the hill to the landscaped circle they will view the small pedestrian scale shops and town homes across the village green with a pond and the bandstand.
Traveling around the circle they will view the expansive front lawn of the 25,000 square feet community club house with its wrap around porches and impressive facade. Continuing on, visitors will come to the main gate staffed 24 hours by the communities private security force. At that point, the security personnel will either admit them based on your prior approval or call for your permission. If needed, the helpful guards will provide a map and directions to your home from there. Once through the gate, they will cross the covered bridge and see views of the entry pond and waterfall as well as the clubhouse and glimpses of the golf course. From that point, depending on the village lifestyle you choose, they will travel along Olde Bridge Parkway which inspired by Blue Ridge parkway to your village.
